‘Sar – The Essence of Indian Design’, published in spring 2016, brings together a collection of design objects, both traditional and contemporary, and groups them by context such as ‘Wearing’ and ‘Coming and Going’. You can see how many of the items within the book have been crafted and we wanted to reflect this in the construction of the cover and spine. We did this in how we brought together pattern, cloth, paper, colour and metallic ink.
